Adapalene Topical Gel Differin is a gel used for the treatment of acne vulgaris (pimples). Differin Gel provides a more potent formulation of Adapalene that is efficacious enough to treat moderate to moderately-severe acne while still providing a favorable side effect profile.

Adapalene Topical Gel Differin has actions similar to vitamin A (retinol). Adapalene stimulates cell division in the skin and reduces the production of keratin. It aids skin peeling and prevents the formation of acne lesions (comedones).

Acne is caused by blockage of sebaceous glands. This leads to an accumulation of the skins natural oils (sebum). Bacteria on the skin feed on sebum and produce waste products which further inflame the sebaceous glands, causing acne. The action of Adapalene combats the changes that take place in acne.

Possible Side Effects
The most common side effects of Adapalene Topical Gel Differin are irritation, redness, dryness, and itching of the skin as well as flares of acne. Most of these side effects lessen with continued use.
