Therapeutic actions: Naphcon-A contains the active ingredients Naphazoline hydrochloride which is a type of medication known as sympathomimetic. Naphazolin works by constricting the blood vessels in the eye. Naphazoline acts on alpha-receptors in the arterioles of the conjunctiva to narrow blood vessels, resulting in decreased congestion. As a result, swelling and redness in the eye is reduced.

Indications: Naphcon-A is used to treat burning, redness, irritation and dryness of the eye caused by different irritants.

Contraindications and cautions: You should not Naphazoline eye drops

    * in Children under 12 years of age
    * in Glaucoma
    * if you experience any eye diseases
    * in patients who have recently had eye surgery.

    * if you experience any heart disease

Warning!

Do not take Naphcon-A by mouth. You should not use contact lenses while you are taking Naphcon-A

Avoid prolonged use of Naphcon-A. Chronic use of Naphcon-A may damage the blood vessels (veins and arteries) in the eye.
