Description
Venoruton strengthens the capillaries, and, therefore, can reduce the haemophilia symptoms. It also may help to prevent a common unpleasant-looking venous edema of the legs. Venoruton, as ferulic acid, can reduce the cytotoxicity of oxidized LDL cholesterol and lower the risk of heart disease.

Therapeutic actions:
Pharmacological action – angioprotectional. Reduces permeability of capillaries, edema and inflammation, strengthens vascular wall. It inhibits aggregation and increases erythrocyte deflection degree. After intake C_max is reached through 1-9 hours. At application (gel) gets into deep skin layers: it is defined in them through 30 minutes, in subcutaneous fat - through 2-5 h. T_1/2 - 10-25 h. It is cleared from the body as metabolites and in not changed form, mainly with bile, to a lesser degree - with urine. It influences mainly capillaries and veins. In patients with chronic venous insufficiency, lymphostasis inhibits edema of the lower limb, pain, paresthesia, etc. Gel also has cooling and calming effect.
What is it used for?:
Varix dilatation, interfacial thrombophlebitis, long-lasting venous insufficiency (pain, edema, trophic disturbances, ulcer, etc.), hemorrhoids, retinopathy (diabetic, azotemic, arteriosclerotic), lymphostasis, trophic disturbances after radiotherapy, pain and edema at injuries (gel).
Contraindications and cautions:
The use of Venoruton is contra-indicated to pregnant women (I trmester). Hypersensibility.
Side effects:
Headache, affluxes, allergic eruption on skin, local skin reactions.
Interactions:
Till the present time clinical significant interactions were not established.
