Description
Pancreatine is the mixture of multi enzyme extracted from pigs, sheep, mainly including trypsin, pancreatin amylase and pancreatic lipase It is fine white to creamy powder or granules with characteristic odour and taste. It is partly soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol and ether.
Concentrated pancreatin providing enzymes that aid in effective protein, carbohydrate and fat digestion.
Pancreatine is specially coated to protect the enzymes from destruction in the stomach.

Therapeutic actions:
Pancreatine is a preparation of porcine pancreatic enzymes. Pancreatine naturally contains protease (protein digesting), amylase (carbohydrate digesting), and lipase (fat digesting) enzymes.
In the stomach the Pills release the bovine gastric mucous extract (external Pills layer). Pills nucleum is enterosoluble and releases the remained components in duodenum. The drug substitutes stomach and duodenum digestive enzymes, stimulates their synthesis and elimination, improves digestion.
What is it used for?: (Indications:)
- Disturbances of digestive enzymes of the abdomen (Disturbances of exocrines Pancreas function) which might happens sometimes in the digestion, i.e. Chronic Inflammation of the abdominal digestive glands (chronic Pancreatitis), and so the use of the nutritional substance is lost and flatulence happens (Meteorism and Roemheld’s symptom complex),
- Also after stomach small intestine operations, the functional enhanced intestinal passage, (through nervousness, infections intestine diseases)
- Disturbances in liver-gall system, unclear digestive disturbances (Dyspepsia), when eating vegetables whish are difficult in digestion, fats or non-accustomed meals.
- Mezym forte is also useful for abdominal flatulence (meteorism) which occur after exposing patients to X-rays or ultra sound.
Contraindications and cautions:
Acute pancreatitis, chronic pancreatitis sharpening, and hyper sensibility to the drug’s components.
Side effects:
In long-term treatment rarely allergic reaction is possible to occur. After usage of large doses for a long time hyperuricaemia is possible.
