Estradiol and Norethisterone
Therapeutic actions:
Combined preparation that works due to the activity of its components: estradiol and norethisteron. Estradiol is identical to naturally occurring oestrogen it stimulates the womb, fallopian tubes, secondary sex attributes if they are undeveloped, causes the activation of regeneration and growth of endometrium in the first phase of the menstrual cycle, prepares the endometrium for interaction with progesterone. What is it used for?:

Pausogest is used to treat the following conditions:
• symptoms that arise before and during the menopause
• prophylaxis of menopause related osteoporosis
• other conditions prescribed only by your doctor.
Contraindications and cautions:
Do not use Pausogest in the following conditions:
• Hypersensitivity to any components of the preparation
• Pregnancy or breastfeding
• Renal failure
• liver, breast or any other type of cancer
• Thrombomembolia
• Diabetes
• Anemia
• Change in brains blood circulation
• Jaudice
• Any metabolism dysfunctions
• Heart related diseases.
The drug should be used with caution in the following cases:
• Migraines
• Asthma
• Epilepsy
• Depression
• Sclerosis
• Liver and gall bladder dysfunctions
• Tetanus
• Hypertension
• Colitis
• Womb disease
• Breast related disease
• Tuberculosis
• Renal dysfunction. The preparation is prescribed to women who had their last menses a year before starting therapy. A thorough examination of the woman body should be performed before prescribing this medicine and repeated every 6 months when using the medicine. If an unidentified vaginal bleeding occurs an immediate examination is needed.
Side effects:
There are possible side-effects associated with this medicine that can affect individuals in different ways. If a side effect is stated here, that does not necessarily mean the fact that all people using Pausogest will experience it or any other.
The side-effects include:
• In the first months: menstrual bleeding, painful tension of the mammary glands, nausea, headache, swelling
• After 3 months of treatment possible – amenorrhea, changes in sex drive, thrombosis, thromboembolia, hypertension, alopecia, skin rash, itching, vision impairment.
