Description
Nozeylin is a combined vasoconstrictive and antihistaminic agent for topical application in ophthalmology and ENT-practice. Nozeylin contains two active ingredients Naphazoline hydrochloride. Naphazoline works by constricting the blood vessels in the eye.

Naphazoline and chlorpheniramine
Therapeutic actions:
Nozeylin contains two active ingredients Naphazoline hydrochloride Chloropheniramine maleate. Naphazoline hydrochloride is a type of medication known as sympathomimetic. Naphazoline works by constricting the blood vessels in the eye. Naphazoline acts on alpha-receptors in the arterioles to narrow blood vessels, resulting in decreased congestion. As a result, swelling and redness is reduced. Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine substance. Chlorpheniramine works by blocking the effects of the naturally occurring chemical histamine in human organism.

Nozeylin is used to treat:
• rhinitis (acute, allergic)
• sinusitis
• nasal hemorrhage
• hay fever
• conjunctivitis
• asthenopic disorders
• spring conjunctivitis
Contraindications and cautions:
You should not use Nozeylin in:
• high blood pressure;
• fast heart beat;
• thyroid problems;
• atherosclerosis;
• angle-closure glaucoma;
• in children under 12 years old
Talk with your health care provider prior to taking this medication
• if you are pregnant
• if you are breastfeeding Warning!
• Avoid prolonged use of Nozeylin
• Do not take Nozeylin in case of chronic rhinitis.
• In case of long use of this medication tachyphylaxis may occur
• Do not drive or operate any machinery while you are taking this medicine.
• Do not wear contact lenses while you are taking Nozeylin.
Side effects:
There are possible side-effects associated with this medicine that can affect individuals in different ways. If a side effect is stated here, that does not necessarily mean the fact that all people using Nozeylin will experience it or any other.
• mydriasis, lacrimation, intraocular pressure increase, irritation, discomfort, burning, in case of long use nose mucous membrane edema, atrophic rhinitis.
• dizziness, headache, nausea, weakness, sleepiness, irritation, arterial hypertension, fast heart beat.
