Description
Oftagel eye drops restore natural ocular moisture. Oftagel contains carbomer, which binds water onto the cornea. This compensates for a decreased mucin layer.

Therapeutic actions:
Oftagel is a lubricating ophthalmic gel for the treatment of dry eye syndrome (i.e. keratoconjunctivitis sicca or ocular surface disease) and other symptomatic treatment of dry eye.
What is it used for?:
(Indications:)
• Treatment of a syndrome of a dry eye.
• Exhaustion of eyes at work on a computer.
• Exhaustion of eyes at long viewing the TV.
• Influence of an environment: of the sun, wind, smoke.
Contraindications and cautions:
Raised sensitivity to the components of Oftagel.
Side effects:
The following are some of the side effects that are known to be associated with this medicine. Because a side effect is stated here, it does not mean that all people using this medicine will experience that or any side effect.
Oftagel was also well tolerated. Although ocular symptoms such as blurring of vision, burning and stinging and irritation occurred after the first instillation as well as the whole treatment period, the undesirable effects occurred mostly immediately after instillation only, they were mostly mild and had brief duration.
Blurring of vision was the most common adverse reaction reported by 39% of the patients after the one month treatment period.
