Description
Albuterol (Salbutamol) is a sympathomimetic (beta agonist) bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the smooth muscle in the airway, which allows air to flow in and out of the lungs more easily.

Active Ingredients:
Salbutamol
Therapeutic actions:
Stimulator beta 2- adrenoceptor. In therapeutic dozes it has an evident effect on beta 2- adrenoceptor of bronchial tubes, causing their expansion. It almost does not have any effect on beta 1- adrenoceptor of heart.
Albuterol (Salbutamol) prevents histamine release, slowly reacting substance of anaphylaxis and allergy.
Preparation has a quick effect. It is kept during 4 h.
What is it used for?:
• Prevention and relief of bronchospasm in all forms of bronchial asthma;
• Inversive respiratory obstruction in chronic bronchitis or pulmonary emphysema.
Contraindications and cautions:
• allergy to any ingredient in Albuterol (Salbutamol) Aerosol
• use of another short-acting sympathomimetic bronchodilator (eg, metaproterenol)
Side effects:
Cough; headache; nausea; nervousness; sinus inflammation; sore or dry throat; tremor; trouble sleeping; unusual taste in mouth; vomiting.
More severe side effects:
allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); chest pain; fast or irregular heartbeat; new or worsened trouble breathing; pounding in the chest; severe headache or dizziness; unusual hoarseness; wheezing.
Interactions:
Albuterol (Salbutamol) should not be used together with propranolol.
