Description
Becloforte is usually prescribed to prevent asthma symptoms. When used regularly every day, inhalation corticosteroids decrease the number and severity of asthma attacks.

Beclomethasone
Therapeutic actions:
Glucocorticoid drug for inhalations. Beclomethasone Dipropionate is a preparation-precursor and it possesses weak affinity to glucocorticosteroid-receptors. Under action of enzymes it turns into active metabolite – beclomethasone-17 – mono- propionate which has the evident local anti-inflammatory effect.
What is it used for?:
- For basic anti-inflammatory therapy of various forms of bronchial asthma in adults and children in the age of 4 years old and more, including patients with bad clinical course which have systemic glucocorticosteroid dependence.
Contraindications and cautions:
Hypersensitivity to the medicine components.
Pregnancy.
Prescription is possible only when the expected advantage of therapy for mother exceeds potential risk for fetus.
Side effects:
Rare
Shortness of breath, troubled breathing, tightness in chest, or wheezing; diarrhea or nausea; signs of hypersensitivity reactions, such as swelling of face, lips, or eyelids; bleeding from rectum or bloody stools; blurred vision or other changes in vision; high blood pressure; fainting or feeling faint; fever; frequent urination or unusual thirst; loss of appetite; growth inhibition in children; increased fat deposits in face, neck, and trunk; increased skin pigmentation; menstrual changes; mood or mental changes; numbness; pain or burning in chest; vomiting.
Less common
Bruising; burning or pain while urinating, blood in urine, or frequent urge to urinate; chest pain; creamy white, curd-like patches in the mouth or throat and/or pain when eating or swallowing; dizziness or sense of constant movement or surroundings; general feeling of discomfort or illness; irregular or fast heartbeat; itching, rash, or hives; sinus problems; stomach or abdominal pain; swelling of fingers, ankles, feet, or lower legs; unusual tiredness or weakness; weight gain
Additional side effects may occur if you take this medicine for a long time. Check with your doctor if any of the following side effects occur:
Pain in back, ribs, arms, or legs (osteoporosis)
Other side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine:
Cold-like symptoms; cough; dry mouth or throat; headache; sore throat, hoarseness or voice changes.
Constipation; nosebleeds; trouble in sleeping.
Interactions:
This medicine may be used with other asthma medicines, such as bronchodilators (medicines that open up narrowed breathing passages) or other corticosteroids taken by mouth.
