Therapeutic actions:
Clindamycin belongs to a group of antibiotics known as lincosamide. . Clindamycin possesses bacteriostatic action. It works by inhibiting the production of proteins that are essential for the bacteria to reproduce. Clindamycin is effective agains a wide variety of bacteria.
Indications: Bacterial vaginosis caused by sensitive to Clandamycin microorganisms.
Contraindications and cautions: You should not use Clyndamicin in the following conditions:
• Hypersensitivity or allergy to clyndamycin or lincomycin
• Children under 12 years
• Diarrhea
• Pregnancy
• Breastfeeding You should use Clinamycin with caution in people who are over 60 years of age. Warning!
• Seek medical advice if you experience severe diarrhea while taking Clyndamycin.
• Clyndamycin may damage diaphragms and the the rubber of condoms making them less effective.
